Yuva Career Club: Skill Development, Career Planning and Employment Awareness

Yuva Career Club (YCC) includes skill development among its major areas of work, alongside education, career guidance, competitive examinations, employment information, military recruitment, and digital learning.

Established in Nagpur, Maharashtra, on 1 January 2015, YCC has conducted educational and career-oriented programmes in coordination with educational institutions, government departments, subject experts, senior officials, and industry organisations.

Understanding Skill Development

Skill development can help students and young people explore abilities that may be relevant to further education or employment. Depending on the career pathway, these skills can complement formal academic education and examination preparation.

YCC has included different skill development projects within its broader educational initiatives. The focus is on providing young people with information and opportunities related to skills and career development.

Career decisions are often made at different stages of education. Students may begin exploring options after Class 10 and make further decisions after Class 12.

YCC’s activities include Career Guidance for Students, Career Guidance After 10th, Career Guidance After 12th, and Online Career Guidance.

Skill development can complement this guidance by helping students understand the relationship between education, professional skills, and employment opportunities.

Skill Development and Employment

Employment information is another area of YCC’s work. Its digital employment initiative provides information about opportunities across India, including government job notifications, recruitment information, eligibility requirements, application procedures, examinations, and results.

Skill development and employment awareness can therefore form two connected parts of career planning. Students can learn about potential career pathways while also understanding the qualifications and skills that may be relevant to those pathways.

Selected programmes have also used AI-based proctored practice tests and digital assessment.

These digital resources can complement traditional education and provide students with additional opportunities for learning and practice.

Competitive Examination Preparation

Skill development can also exist alongside competitive examination preparation. YCC provides educational guidance related to UPSC, NEET, JEE, and NDA.

Students exploring UPSC Online Coaching, UPSC Online Classes, UPSC Preparation Online, IAS Online Coaching, or a UPSC Foundation Course may use digital resources as part of their overall preparation.
