Vedic Astrology and Geopolitics: Jignesh Jani Urges Evidence-Based Understanding

Ahmedabad | July 10, 2026: Vedic astrology researcher Jignesh Jani has called for a balanced and evidence-based understanding of global affairs while discussing the symbolic interpretations offered by traditional Vedic astrology. According to Jani, astrology can provide a cultural and philosophical perspective on collective human experiences, but it should not be regarded as a scientifically established method for predicting geopolitical events or international conflicts.

Jani explained that Vedic astrology has, for centuries, examined planetary movements as symbolic representations of social, political, and historical cycles. He noted that many astrologers currently interpret the Mars–Rahu conjunction, traditionally known as Angarak Yoga, as representing heightened strategic activity, assertive leadership, and increased geopolitical attention. Similarly, the Saturn–Neptune alignment is often associated with institutional reforms, changing ideologies, and evolving international alliances.

While these interpretations continue to generate public interest, Jani emphasized that geopolitical developments are influenced by a wide range of measurable factors, including diplomacy, economic policies, military strategies, international law, technological progress, and decisions made by governments and global institutions.

Jani also highlighted Jupiter’s traditional significance in Vedic astrology. Widely regarded as a symbol of wisdom, justice, ethics, education, and diplomacy, Jupiter is viewed by many practitioners as encouraging responsible leadership, peaceful negotiations, and constructive international engagement during uncertain times.

“Astrology should inspire thoughtful reflection, not certainty about future events,” Jani said. “Evidence-based research, factual reporting, and diplomatic decision-making remain essential for understanding and responding to international developments. Planetary positions do not replace the role of human judgment.”

According to Jani, respecting both traditional knowledge and scientific inquiry allows people to appreciate astrology within its cultural context while making informed decisions based on reliable information. He believes that such a balanced approach encourages responsible public discussion and reduces the risk of misunderstanding symbolic interpretations.

Concluding his remarks, Jani expressed hope that world leaders will continue to prioritize diplomacy, cooperation, and peaceful dialogue when addressing global challenges. He added that mutual respect, informed policymaking, and international collaboration remain the strongest foundations for achieving long-term peace, economic stability, and sustainable development across nations.
