Mandapeta, Andhra Pradesh: Access to education is a fundamental step toward creating stronger communities and brighter futures. Guided by this belief, Smiley Children Society has continued to work at the grassroots level to ensure that children from economically disadvantaged families receive the educational opportunities they deserve. Since its establishment on January 19, 2019, the organization has remained committed to promoting child welfare through education, awareness, and community participation.

Founded by Prudhvi Moses, Smiley Children Society operates from its Head Office in Mandapeta, with branch offices in Angara (East Godavari District) and Pothavaram (West Godavari District). Through a dedicated network of volunteers, the organization has developed several initiatives that focus on educational inclusion, academic support, and the holistic development of children.

Among its most impactful programs is assisting children with admissions to government schools. Volunteers regularly identify children who are not enrolled in school, visit their families, provide guidance on admission procedures, and coordinate with school authorities to help complete the enrollment process efficiently. The initiative aims to ensure that every eligible child has the opportunity to begin formal education without unnecessary obstacles.

The organization’s efforts have been appreciated by Headmaster Swamy Narayan, who recognized the commitment of Smiley Children Society’s volunteers and praised Founder Prudhvi Moses for his consistent work in encouraging school enrollment among underprivileged children.

“Education is not merely about attending school—it is about creating opportunities that allow children to realize their full potential. Our volunteers are committed to supporting families and ensuring that every child has the confidence and resources needed to continue learning,” said Prudhvi Moses.

To further strengthen educational outcomes, Smiley Children Society conducts free evening tuition classes at its Angara branch. The program offers academic mentoring, homework assistance, concept reinforcement, and examination preparation for students who require additional guidance beyond regular school hours.

Recognizing the importance of nutrition in a child’s learning journey, the organization also provides free dinner to children attending the tuition sessions. This initiative helps improve attendance, supports healthy development, and provides valuable assistance to families facing financial challenges.

Smiley Children Society also continues to advocate for innovative teaching practices in Anganwadi centres and primary schools. During educational events, including programs conducted at ZPHS Angara, Prudhvi Moses has encouraged educators to adopt activity-based learning, storytelling, educational games, visual learning resources, and creative classroom activities that foster curiosity, confidence, and active participation among young learners.

In addition to its advocacy efforts, the organization regularly donates educational materials, classroom equipment, and teaching aids to schools committed to creating engaging and child-friendly learning environments.

As Smiley Children Society looks toward the future, it aims to expand its educational initiatives, strengthen its volunteer network, and collaborate with more schools and community organizations across Andhra Pradesh. Through its continued commitment to education, nutrition, and social responsibility, the organization remains dedicated to helping every child build a foundation for lifelong learning and success.
